Call for applicants for the 2025 "Company committed to Sustainable Tourism in Kyoto" and "Excellence in Ethical and Sustainable Tourism Business Practices" Award

June 2, 2025 - February 27, 2026
Kyoto City and the Kyoto Tourism Association (DMO KYOTO), a public interest incorporated association, will formulate the "Kyoto Tourism Code of Conduct (Kyoto Tourism Morals)" in November 2020, and from fiscal year 2022, will be calling for "Company committed to Sustainable Tourism in Kyoto" to further promote behavior based on the Kyoto Tourism Morals.

Raising awareness of manners and morals using the city bulletin board

April 1, 2025 - April 15, 2025
"MIND YOUR MANNERS" posters will be displayed on Kyoto City information boards, which are set up in approximately 7,500 locations throughout the city, to raise awareness of proper etiquette among tourists walking through the city.

"Excellence in Ethical and Sustainable Tourism Business Practices" Award in 2024

In order to promote the spread and further practice of the "Kyoto Tourism Ethics," the "Excellence in Ethical and Sustainable Tourism Business Practices" Award has been held since fiscal year 2022. This year, an awards ceremony will be held to recognize 26 businesses that are engaged in excellent activities in accordance with the Kyoto Tourism Ethics.

Raising awareness of manners and morals using the hotel magazine "Kyoto Tourist Concierge"

March 10, 2025 - September 9, 2025
In order to raise awareness of manners and morals when sightseeing in Kyoto and to allow people to learn about their specific details in a fun way, we will be placing advertisements in the hotel magazine "Kyoto Tourism Concierge." The magazine will be placed in each guest room (approximately 20,000 rooms) of approximately 800 hotels, inns, and guest houses in Kyoto City.

Distribution of etiquette and morals awareness leaflets on Kansai International Airport limousine buses

January 2025 - December 2025
In collaboration with Keihan Bus Co., Ltd., we placed flyers for "MIND YOUR MANNERS" and "Kyoto Machiketto" in the seat pockets of Kansai International Airport limousine buses.
