Put Your Feelings for Kyoto into Action

To ensure that Kyoto remains Kyoto for generations to come, making a donation is one meaningful way visitors can contribute.

The City of Kyoto invites your support through Japan’s Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation) program to help protect and nurture Kyoto’s beautiful landscapes and townscapes, its traditions, and the culture and wisdom rooted in everyday life.

Your generous contributions will be used to support a wide range of initiatives, including the promotion of traditional industries and tourism, as well as the preservation and succession of scenic areas and cultural heritage.
